Straightening images

You guys are just going to love us for this one. How many times have you tried to straighten an image within other software and found it to be an utterly painful experience? Well, watch this ...

Choose either Straighten Horizontally or Straighten Vertically from the Edit menu.

Then, just drag a line using the mouse over the image that you want to be either the new horizontal or vertical axis for the image. Or, alternatively, forget the menus altogether and go freestyle using the right mouse button to drag the rotation of the image around until it "looks right" rather than dragging a line over a linear image feature.

Now all that's left to do is define the cropping rectangle for the newly rotated image. You get a default rectangle which you can drag around at your whim to form the exact area that you wish to keep. Once you're done, just click inside the rectangle and Bingo, the image is now both rotated and cropped and Robert is your Mother's Brother.

This is just about as simple as we could have possibly made it, and you get superbly accurate results every single time. And just look at how beautifully smooth those rotated pixels are; Imagina, looking after you as always, like the Gran you never had.
